Normally, sentimental stuff emailed to me makes me sick to the gut, and I delete it straight away without looking at it. I was glad someone sent this to me. I enjoyed it. I hope you will too.
So glad you didn’t consign this to the trash sight unseen and song unplayed. Of course, the proposition of the theme is one more hopeful than sound but there is a tug at the heartstrings that makes the plaintive wish coming from all four corners of the world almost unbearably beautiful.. Moreover every group singing and playing this song did something that made it all symbolically and universally eloquent – did you notice they all sang in the same key?
